Você pode tirar fotos no seu cassino favorito?

Taking pictures in a land casinos used to be frowned upon and even illegal at times. I have been doing some reading that they have now changed the rule to allow certain "general, non specific area" photos to be taken.( No close up of any machines, tables, or people playing them are allowed.) Since Casinos have become so much like tourist attractions, they have lessened the laws.  What is the rule in your favorite casino? I know in the casino I go to they are still not allowing any photos to be taken, and get down right nasty when you try. Why is this?  Also, cell phone usage is frowned upon as well, what is the reason behind this?  Just curoius for your take on this gang.                      Thanks for your response....PMM2008

The first time i ever was in a casino was on my 21st b'day. Being quite green at the time...i asked a friend to take a pic of me at the slot machine. In No time flat security came up to me and said " we do not allow pictures at the slot machines. I was so embarrassed as many passer bys heard him tell me.

Needless to say i never took another pic again.

Well I know they can take pictures and give them to you.

When i won $10,000 they took a picture of me next to my machine with the winning hit and hung a pic on the winners wall and also gave me a copy framed and everything...Woo hooo!

Oh of course THEY will take pics if you win. That's a horse of a different color! They want to advertise that and its good PR for the casino.

The closest i ever came to that was when there was a weekly drawing and i won it...they had the winners on the TV screen flashing as you walk in...i didn't even realize that i was on there. When i walked in and saw my pic up on the screen, i felt really proud!!!

Yea, they will take pictures if you win. I get my "rewards" news letter every month and on the outside they have pictures of the recent winners plastered all over the place. Yet they only show half the slot machine, someties even less than that. Is there something about the slot machine they do not want to show? A particular type?  I do know you cant take pictures of people playing them due privacy for the players. Security will no longer take your camera, they will just ask you to knock it off.  Unless someone else knows differently??

The casinos in my area frown upon any pictures near the tables in a BIG way, but they dont seem to really mind if you are just hanging around the slot machines.  The only time I have seen them say anything to anyone was when someone was videotaping a slot machine, probably with some silly notion of trying to find "the pattern"  by looking at the footage.
