diese Woche habe ich mir ein neues Spiel angesehen: Empress of the Jade Sword von Microgaming. Das Spiel wollte ich mir schon seit einigen Wochen zur Brust nehmen, weil ich asiatisch thematisierte Spiele eigentlich sehr mag, aber so richtig überzeugen konnte es mich nicht.
Habt ihr den Titel schon gespielt und wie ist eure Meinung dazu? Meiner Ansicht nach ist Empress of the Jade Sword ein solides Spiel, es fehlt aber das gewisse etwas.
Als ich mich mit dem Thema auseinandergesetzt habe, ist mir aufgefallen, wie stark dort China, Japan und ganz Asien einfach in einen Topf geworfen wurde. Das erinnerte mich an ein Spiel, in dem die neuseeländischen Ureinwohner (Maori) mitsamt einigen Heiligtümern in einem Slot verarbeitet wurden. Der Volksstamm hat sich dagegen beim Hersteller Endorphina beschwert und letztlich bewirkt, dass das Spiel zurückgezogen wurde.
Was denkt ihr über die Darstellung von bestimmten Bevölkerungsgruppen in Spielautomaten? Alles nur Spaß und egal, oder wüscht ihr euch einen authentischen und respektvollen Umgang damit?

Esta semana, dei uma olhada em um novo jogo: Empress of the Jade Sword , da Microgaming. Fazia algumas semanas que eu queria conferir, pois gosto muito de jogos com temática asiática, mas não me convenceu.
Você já jogou o título e o que achou? Na minha opinião, Empress of the Jade Sword é um jogo sólido, mas falta aquele algo especial.
À medida que me aprofundava no assunto, notei como a China, o Japão e toda a Ásia eram simplesmente agrupados. Isso me lembrou de um jogo em que os povos indígenas da Nova Zelândia (Maori), juntamente com alguns símbolos sagrados, foram incorporados a uma máquina caça-níqueis. A tribo reclamou com a desenvolvedora Endorphina, o que acabou levando à retirada do jogo .
O que você acha da representação de certos grupos demográficos nas máquinas caça-níqueis? É tudo apenas uma brincadeira e irrelevante, ou você prefere uma abordagem autêntica e respeitosa?

This week I checked out a new game: Empress of the Jade Sword from Microgaming. I've been wanting to pick up the game for a few weeks because I actually really like Asian-themed games, but it didn't really convince me.
Have you already played the title and what do you think about it? In my opinion, Empress of the Jade Sword is a solid game, but it's missing a certain something.
When I looked into the topic, I noticed how much China, Japan and all of Asia were simply lumped together.
