I consider myself to be pretty patient.......BUT there is one real major exception. Waiting in longggg lines. I think Walmart has to be the worst.
What sets my head reeling like a slot machine is the customer in front of me who....watches each item being scanned...all the while her purse is snugly tucked under her arm. As each item passes the conveyor belt...she is talking to her kid...checking her phone..and looking around.
When a price ck is called.....she stands there with a blank stare waiting.....all the while her purse is snugly under her arm. Items are rung up and being bagged....again her purse is still snugly under her arm.
The cashier turns to her and announces the grand total....as if in shock that she actually has to pay for these items...the customer say "oh".....then slips the strap off her shoulder....but not without paying by CHECK!
Don't dare have the check ready.....no no......don't dare have your license in hand....no no....wait til the bitter end........then think about paying!!!!!!!!
I am the complete opposite......debit card in hand......check and license ready to go before i even hit the conveyor belt.
Does this drive you to drink too?

Não ouse ter o cheque pronto... não, não... não ouse ter sua carteira de motorista em mãos... não, não... espere até o amargo fim... então pense em pagar!!!!!!!!
Eu sou o completo oposto... cartão de débito na mão... cheque e carteira de motorista prontos para sair antes mesmo de entrar na esteira.
Isso também te leva a beber?

Not quite, but then I usually try and go for the "Self-Checkout" cashiers. No, this is NOT so I can slip some extra for myself, I pay for it all. But best of all, my wait is less.
I've heard stories about some waiting to the last, then hauling out the "Govt assistance" card and THEN paying anything beyond that in pennies.
In closing I'll admit I have hit the self checkout and have found anywhere from $5 to $35 in cash left there from the person who was previous. I'll admit, I used to turn it into the "PIC" who was manning the check stands, till I found out many of them (Not all though) pocket the money anyway.
So if I'm going to be accused of theft, at least I'll admit to it.Não exatamente, mas costumo tentar ir aos caixas de autoatendimento. Não, isso NÃO é para que eu possa passar um extra para mim, eu pago tudo. Mas o melhor de tudo é que minha espera é menor.

Para encerrar, admito que já fui ao caixa de autoatendimento e encontrei algo entre US$ 5 e US$ 35 em dinheiro deixado lá, da pessoa que estava lá antes. Admito que eu costumava entregar o dinheiro ao "PIC" que estava operando os caixas, até descobrir que muitos deles (mas não todos) embolsavam o dinheiro mesmo assim.
Então, se eu for acusado de roubo, pelo menos vou admitir. -

Your post cracked me up, as I could picture the exact scenerio you were speaking of. We have all been stuck behind that person who refuses to be "READY" to check out.
How about the one with two carts full, and after they finally get the grand total, they claim, "NO, that can't be right." and demand the cashier go thru the tape and see what each item was rung up at until they find the item they think they were over charged for.
Or this one: After the cart(s) have finally been rung up, they hand over a stack of coupons to the cashier that is an inch thick. Each coupon has to be scanned, half are expired, and the other half do not even go for the item that is trying to be purchased.
Oh yes, the joys of long lines. I absolutley hate it, and avoid it at all costs.

Que tal aquele com dois carrinhos cheios e, depois que finalmente chegam ao total geral, eles dizem: "NÃO, isso não pode estar certo" e exigem que o caixa examine a fita e veja quanto cada item foi cobrado até encontrar o item pelo qual acham que foram cobrados a mais.
Ou esta: Depois que o(s) carrinho(s) é(são) finalmente preenchido(s), eles entregam ao caixa um maço de cupons com 2,5 cm de espessura. Cada cupom precisa ser escaneado, metade está vencida e a outra metade nem serve para o item que está sendo comprado.
Ah, sim, as delícias das longas filas. Eu odeio completamente e evito a todo custo.
