This is really a continuation of the original complaint I had initiated against this casino, about denying my verification.
Their issue was about my photo ID. My photo ID is actually a combination of two official documents. The front side is my Citizen of the Cherokee Nation ID, and shows my legal name. The reverse side shows our Certified Degree of Indian Blood, usually abbreviated as CDIB. The CDIB is issued at birth by the US federal government, and being issued at birth shows my maiden name. Our CDIB is not usually updated when we have a name change due to marriage.
The casino accused me of fraud, because of the different last names on the front and back of my ID. I explained the reason why it was like that, but they literally scoffed at the notion, declaring that, "there is no document in the whole world where the full name on the front side doesn't match with the full name on the back side for any reason." I decided to retract my original complaint, though, because I felt their complaint was not an unreasonable one. Without knowing more about what the two sides are actually about, I would think it is certainly unusual for their to be an inconsistency with the last name.
So...last Thursday I travelled to our main government office with a name change request form to change my last name on the CDIB, as well as update my address on the front side. I left with a brand new ID, and it shows my married name now on the back. After submitting new pictures, their initial reply was the exact same, verbatim, word for word copy of their initial denial! This denial claims that the photo is blurry and they ask for a new selfie. It is a pre-canned response, calling into question if they even look at the attached files. The "selfie" pic is at 3000x4000 pixel resolution...there is zero issue with legibility.
I would like to point out, that no other casino has had any issue with my ID. This is the only one that took issue with my maiden name being on the reverse side. That ID was and still is a 100% authentic and official government issued ID. I still went through the trouble to update my ID, and have presented this new ID that removes their "issue" with my ID.
I apologized when I retracted my previous complaint, as I felt their complaint wasn't entirely unreasonable, despite not being valid. On the other hand, they have not apologized for accusing me of attempting fraud. They do not act in good faith in their verification process.
