Wellicht hebben jullie in de mail ook berichten gelezen over online Casinos die hun Nederlandstalige websites uit de lucht halen.
Veelal zal zo'n mail er zo uit zien:

Als gevolg van enkele nieuwe eisen van de Nederlandse Kansspelautoriteit heeft het management van ....... besloten om vanaf vandaag de website van ....... alleen in de Engelse taal aan te bieden.
U kunt uiteraard gewoon blijven spelen op de software van ... en in het Nederlands communiceren met de helpdesk."
Dit bericht spreekt eigenlijk voor zichzelf, de online casinos doen er alles aan om in aanmerking te komen voor een officiele vergunning.

Kansspelautoriteit verkent spelersbescherming online kansspelmarkt::
Op 27 februari 2013 organiseert de Kansspelautoriteit een workshop 'on best practices on responsible online gambling'. Met als centrale thema: preventie van kansspelverslaving bij online kansspelen.
Voor de bijeenkomst is een select gezelschap uitgenodigd. De deelnemers werken onder meer in de verslavingszorg, bij vergunninghouders, keuringsinstellingen of brancheorganisaties.
De bijeenkomst is voor de Kansspelautoriteit een verkenning van spelersbescherming in het online kansspelveld om daarmee beter zicht te krijgen op de huidige praktijk van mogelijkheden voor verslavingspreventie op en via internet en om uit het veld te horen wat wel óf niet werkt. Dit is nodig met het oog op de komende veranderingen binnen de online kansspelmarkt. Er wordt namelijk een wijziging van de Wet op de kansspelen voorbereid door het ministerie van Veiligheid en Justitie om de online kansspelen in Nederland te reguleren.
Tijdens de bijeenkomst zullen de best practices gedeeld worden over onder andere:
de registratie en identificatie van spelers, waaronder het uitsluiten van minderjarigen;
de aanpak van kansspelverslavingspreventie. Denk aan het instellen van limieten in tijd en geld en het monitoren van spelersgedrag en uitsluitingen.
Het terugdringen en zoveel mogelijk voorkomen van Kansspelverslaving is één van de taken van de Kansspelautoriteit. De uitkomsten van deze sessie zullen door de Kansspelautoriteit dan ook worden gebruikt om het toezicht op dit terrein in de toekomst goed vorm te geven.

Op dit moment wordt het concept wetsvoorstel over online kansspelen voorbereid op het ministerie van Veiligheid en Justitie. Aangezien er nog niks concreets gecommuniceerd kan worden en ook niet over de eventuele voorwaarden, vergunningen en over het openbaar maken van gegevens, kunnen wij u momenteel nog geen mededelingen doen.
